Creating Space to Exhale, Feel, and Finally Be Held

When Holding It All Together Starts to Hurt

Jennifer J. Grove works with women who are outwardly capable and quietly exhausted.

Based in Charleston, she is a nervous system guide, venting coach, and somatic practitioner who supports high-functioning women carrying more than they let on.

Many of the women she works with are leaders, helpers, and caretakers, the ones others rely on.

On the outside, they appear composed.

On the inside, they feel tense, resentful, unseen, or emotionally backed up.

Her work creates a rare kind of space: one where women don’t have to perform wellness or keep themselves regulated for others.

Through nervous system regulation, emotional release, breathwork, EFT tapping, somatic practices, and deeply honest conversations, she helps women soften, exhale, and come back into relationship with themselves.

This isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about helping women feel safe enough to stop bracing.

Becoming the Woman She Now Supports

This work didn’t come from theory, it came from lived experience.

Jennifer started her business because she was the woman she now supports.

She knew what it felt like to be “fine” on the outside while living in a constant state of internal pressure.

To carry anger she didn’t know how to express.

To keep functioning, producing, and coping without ever truly resting.

She wasn’t looking for another checklist or mindset hack.

She needed something that helped her body and emotions catch up to the life she was living.

As she began to work with her own nervous system and emotional patterns, something became clear: so many women are living in survival mode and calling it normal.

They’re managing life, performing self-care, and pushing through but they’re not actually being cared for.

Her business became a response to that reality.

Creating Spaces Where Women Can Tell the Truth

At the heart of Jennifer’s work is permission.

Permission to stop being the strong one.

Permission to say what’s really there.

Permission to release what’s been held for too long.

She helps women name what’s happening beneath the surface, the unspoken resentment, the chronic tension, the emotional weight of always being the capable one.

From there, she supports them in building self-care practices that aren’t performative or optimized, but restorative and sustainable.

The goal isn’t productivity.

It’s regulation.

Honesty.

Relief.

Learning to Build Without Burning Out

One of the most challenging parts of building her business has been learning how to stay visible without abandoning her own nervous system.

For a long time, Jennifer tried to market the way she thought she was supposed to constant posting, chasing strategies, doing all the things.

What she didn’t see at first was that she was recreating the very pattern she helps clients break: over-functioning in order to feel safe.

There came a point where she had to pause and ask a harder question.

How do you build a business about softening… without running it from pressure?

The answer required her to slow down, clarify her message, choose fewer things, and trust that the right people would resonate when she led from truth rather than hustle.

That shift wasn’t easy but it was necessary.

Choosing Simplicity Over Perfection

Her focus is on clean, steady growth without doing everything at once.

Her work is deep and nuanced, and the challenge has been communicating it clearly without over-explaining or scattering her energy.

She’s learning to simplify, to create a clear path from resonance to support without burning herself out in the process.

What still gets in the way sometimes is overthinking.

Wanting things to be just right before letting them be seen.

Perfection disguised as strategy.

And so the work continues for her, just as it does for her clients.

Regulate first.

Simplify.

Choose.

Move.

Even when it’s not perfect.

At Reignelle, we honour women like Jennifer, those who choose honesty over performance, regulation over urgency, and who create spaces where strength can finally soften into safety.
