Learning to Trust Yourself Again
Karly Grieve is a Spiritual Wellness Coach.
Her work centers around something many women don’t realize they’ve lost:
Self-trust.
Because it doesn’t usually disappear overnight.
It fades over time.
Through people-pleasing.
Perfectionism.
Conditioning.
Moments where we learn to look outside of ourselves for answers.
And without self-trust, even simple decisions can feel overwhelming.
We second guess.
We stay stuck.
We choose what feels safe… instead of what feels aligned.
Karly helps women rebuild that connection.
Through coaching, energy work, and somatic practices.
Helping them reconnect with their mind, body, and spirit.
Because when self-trust returns…
So does clarity.
Confidence.
And the ability to choose a life that actually feels like your own.
From Personal Healing to Purpose
Karly always knew she wanted to help people.
She studied psychology, but something about the traditional path didn’t fully resonate.
Then a simple question from an advisor shifted everything:
“Have you ever considered life coaching?”
After graduating, she began exploring that path.
But her real transformation came through her own healing.
Years of struggling with anxiety and depression led her deep into personal development.
She worked on her mindset.
But eventually realized…
Mindset alone wasn’t enough.
There was more stored beneath the surface.
In the body.
In the nervous system.
Working with a trauma-informed somatic coach opened a new layer of awareness.
At the same time, her experience in the fitness industry helped her reconnect with her body in a different way.
Not for performance.
Not for approval.
But for herself.
And from that combination of experiences, her path became clear.
This wasn’t just something she wanted to do.
It was something she had lived.
The Ongoing Work of Self-Trust
One of the biggest challenges Karly faces is something deeply personal.
Herself.
Because self-trust isn’t something you find once and keep forever.
It’s something you build daily.
Through choices.
Through showing up.
Through continuing to believe in yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable.
And that’s something she’s honest about.
Because there’s a common misconception in the healing space:
That once you’ve “healed,” everything becomes easy.
But that’s not reality.
Healing isn’t linear.
It doesn’t end.
There are always new layers.
New triggers.
New moments that test your nervous system.
And as a coach, that work doesn’t stop.
It deepens.
Because the way you show up for others is directly connected to how you show up for yourself.
Navigating Comparison and Scarcity
Like many in the coaching space, Karly has had to work through the belief that the industry is oversaturated.
That there’s too much competition.
Not enough space.
Not enough clients.
Even when she knows, logically, that it’s not true…
It can still feel that way when you’re surrounded by others doing similar work.
But underneath that belief is something deeper.
Scarcity.
The fear that there isn’t enough to go around.
And part of her growth has been shifting that.
Coming back to the truth:
There are always people who need support.
And the right ones will resonate with her work.
Because alignment isn’t about reaching everyone.
It’s about connecting with the right people.
When Growth Feels Like a Threat
Right now, Karly is moving through a powerful moment in her journey.
She’s preparing to host her very first retreat.
And with that comes excitement…
But also resistance.
Because when you’re on the edge of something new, something bigger…
The nervous system reacts.
Doubt gets louder.
Fear steps in.
Thoughts that say:
“Maybe you’re not ready.”
“Maybe you should wait.”
“Maybe this isn’t going to work.”
But those thoughts aren’t failure.
They’re protection.
The body trying to keep you safe from the unknown.
Even when the “threat” isn’t actually a threat at all.
It’s just unfamiliar.
And this is where her work comes full circle.
Because growth requires two things:
Belief.
And nervous system capacity.
The ability to hold the discomfort of expansion.
Without pulling back.
Without shutting down.
Without quitting.
Choosing Trust, Again and Again
At the heart of Karly’s work is a simple but powerful practice:
Choosing self-trust.
Over and over again.
Even when it feels uncertain.
Even when fear shows up.
Even when the next step isn’t fully clear.
Because self-trust isn’t about always feeling confident.
It’s about moving forward anyway.
And when women begin to build that relationship with themselves…
Everything changes.
Decisions feel lighter.
Life feels more aligned.
And the constant need for external validation begins to fade.
Because the answers were never outside of you.
They were always within.
Waiting to be trusted.
At Reignelle, we’re reminded that self-trust isn’t something you find once, it’s something you choose, again and again, as you grow into the life that’s meant for you.
