A Leap Into Wellness
When Janice Arado, known as Nitnit to close friends, felt the pull toward yoga, she took a leap into the unknown.
A business graduate turned wellness advocate, Janice left behind a world of corporate stress to embrace a path of healing both for herself and for others.
With no blueprint and only a deep belief in the power of movement, she began her mission to teach and empower through yoga.
Yoga For Mind and Body
For Janice, yoga is more than physical poses. It’s about healing, reconnecting with the body, and fostering emotional growth.
Starting with simple yoga poses, Janice helped students build strength and flexibility. But as her practice deepened, she turned her focus to children, especially those with special needs.
Through training as a Kids Yoga Instructor, Janice found her true calling, helping children express themselves, gain confidence and embrace their uniqueness.
Her approach to yoga goes beyond the physical. It’s about helping people of all ages reclaim their bodies, find peace, and foster emotional well-being.
Turning Challenges Into Opportunities
The road wasn’t always easy.
With financial risks, competition, and the challenges of transitioning to online teaching during the pandemic, Janice had to adapt quickly.
Despite the obstacles, she saw each challenge as an opportunity for growth.
But Janice didn’t just face external hurdles, she also had to learn to trust herself.
Setting boundaries, embracing vulnerability, and staying true to her values became essential parts of her growth.
Through it all, her practice kept her grounded.
Empowerment Beyond the Mat
Yoga, for Janice, is not just about fitness, it’s a spiritual and emotional practice.
It’s a way for people to reconnect with their bodies, their strength, and their joy.
One of her students, battling obesity and low self-esteem, came to Janice feeling hopeless.
Through consistent, mindful practice, this student rediscovered not only their physical strength but also their self-worth.
These transformations whether big or small, are what fuel Janice’s work.
They remind her why she’s on this journey and how important it is to help others find the same peace she did.
Navigating Personal and Professional Struggles
Becoming an entrepreneur in a new field, in a new country, came with emotional costs.
Janice faced language barriers, cultural challenges, and moments of self-doubt.
She also had to navigate personal struggles, including the pressures of balancing work, relationships, and her own well-being.
The hardest part? Learning to set boundaries and stop people-pleasing. “I had to stop worrying about what others thought and focus on being true to myself,” she says.
Yoga, for Janice, wasn’t just about teaching others—it was about living the practice, every single day.
