Nourishing Bodies. Building Confidence. Changing the Narrative.
Andrea Mathis is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the founder of Beautiful Eats & Things, a platform dedicated to helping everyday families rediscover the joy of eating without guilt, shame, or restriction.
For Andrea, nutrition isn’t about perfection.
It’s about empowerment.
Through approachable recipes, evidence-based education, culturally relevant conversations and national media contributions, she makes healthy eating feel realistic and sustainable not overwhelming.
She believes food should nourish both your body and your life.
Her impact doesn’t stop there.
Through Beautifully Social, her social media and branding course, she helps dietitians, healthcare professionals, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs show up online with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
It’s not about chasing followers, it’s about building influence with integrity.
And through The Beautiful Eats & Things Shop, her boutique, she extends her message of self-love into fashion: offering body-positive, affirming pieces that remind people they deserve to take up space.
Whether she’s speaking at conferences, partnering with brands, or advocating for inclusive messaging in nutrition, Andrea is passionate about making sure women and underserved communities feel seen, respected and supported in their health journeys.
Helping people nourish themselves fully, show up boldly, and live beautifully, that’s her mission.
Built from Passion, Frustration, and Purpose
Andrea’s business began at the intersection of conviction and calling.
As a dietitian, she watched diet culture grow louder.
She saw misinformation spread faster than science.
She saw women questioning their worth based on what they ate.
She didn’t just want to tell people what to eat.
She wanted them to feel confident about eating.
Beautiful Eats & Things began as a creative outlet: blending her love of cooking, culture, family, and science. But it quickly became something deeper.
Representation mattered.
She wanted to show that a plus-size Black woman from the South could be a credible, authoritative voice in national nutrition conversations.
She wanted to build something her children could be proud of.
From that same place of empowerment came Beautifully Social: helping other brilliant professionals find their voice online and the boutique, a wearable reminder that self-love is embodied, not just spoken.
Refusing to Shrink
One of the hardest parts of building her business wasn’t strategy.
It was refusing to shrink.
In a wellness industry that often promotes a narrow image of what “health” looks like, Andrea had to confront an internal question:
Can I be fully myself and still be respected as an expert?
There were moments of pressure to tone down her personality, soften her message, or make herself more “palatable” to traditional spaces.
But credibility, she realized, doesn’t come from fitting a mold.
It comes from integrity.
From evidence.
From consistency.
From confidence.
The hardest battle wasn’t building the platform.
It was believing she deserved to take up space in it.
Choosing not to shrink has become her power.
Growing with Alignment
Andrea’s greatest challenge isn’t visibility, it’s alignment.
Her platform is expanding across media, partnerships, speaking, education, and retail. Opportunities are abundant. But not every opportunity reflects her values.
She is deeply committed to evidence-based nutrition, body positivity, cultural relevance, and authenticity.
Growth without alignment can dilute a message.
And she refuses to grow recklessly just to grow quickly.
The real challenge is capacity.
She is a business owner, dietitian, content creator, speaker, wife, and mom.
Scaling responsibly without burnout requires boundaries, infrastructure, and discernment.
What’s holding her back isn’t fear.
It’s intention.
She’s building the next level thoughtfully, ensuring that expansion supports excellence rather than compromises it.
Because for Andrea, success isn’t just about momentum.
It’s about meaning.
At Reignelle, we honor women like Andrea who are reshaping the wellness conversation leading with integrity, representation, and confidence, and proving that you never have to shrink to be seen.
