From Survival Mode to Self-Trust

Coming Home to Your Body

What if the version of you you’re chasing isn’t out there but already within you, waiting for safety to bloom?

At Reignelle, we believe the most powerful businesses are built by women who dare to come home to themselves.

That’s why we’re honored to share the story of Kristine Sondergaard, founder of Well Within Studio, a somatic coach who’s rewriting what it means to lead from the inside out.

Burnout Disguised as “Doing Fine”

Before she was guiding others through nervous system healing, Kristine was silently unraveling under the weight of overworking.

From the outside, everything looked fine. Inside, her body was waving a white flag.

“I was working four jobs. Always on. Always performing. I thought being high-functioning meant I was okay but I was completely disconnected,” she tells us.

She wasn’t just exhausted, she was empty.

Trapped in survival mode..

Her mind racing, her body numb, her choices ruled by anxiety and overthinking..

It wasn’t until her body quite literally shut down that she realized: no mindset hack was going to fix this.

It wasn’t discipline she needed.

It was nervous system safety.

The Somatic Shift That Changed Everything

Discovering somatic work was like someone turning on the lights in a house she hadn’t realized she’d been living in the dark.

She began learning how to listen to her body instead of overriding it.

She let go of the belief that healing meant fixing herself. She started rooting into presence—not pressure.

That shift became her calling.

Well Within Studio was born from the radical truth that the wisdom and clarity we crave doesn’t live outside of us.

It’s already in our bones, we just need to feel safe enough to access it.

The Vulnerability of Building from Zero

Launching her first group program, Come Home to Your Wisdom, was one of the most vulnerable things Kristine has ever done.

In a past life as a social media marketer, she never had to “launch”—referrals came effortlessly.

But building a new business with new language, new offers, and a new audience? That was a whole new nervous system workout.

She showed up online day after day—sharing, writing, creating. And for weeks? Nothing. Crickets.

“I had to keep showing up without proof it was working,” she says.

“That’s the kind of self-trust no strategy can give you.”

And then, in the final two weeks, the sign-ups came.

Not because of a magic formula, but because she kept going..

Kept trusting..

Kept being real..

Rooted in Realness, Not Performance

What makes Kristine’s work so resonant isn’t just her training, it’s her lived experience.

She knows the pull of over-functioning.

The temptation to seek validation before tuning into your own body.

She’s danced with imposter syndrome and the fear of being seen. And yet—she keeps choosing to show up from her truth, not just her to-do list.

She works with creatives, caregivers, leaders, and empaths who are tired of just “coping.”

People navigating burnout, emotional weight, or transitions that leave them feeling far from themselves.

Together, they shift from spiraling into self-doubt… to anchoring into self-trust.

The Language of Listening

A current edge in her business? Messaging.

“I love the depth and nuance of words like ‘somatics’ and ‘embodiment,’” she admits.

“But I’ve realized not everyone speaks that language, yet.”

So she’s doing the work to bridge the gap.

To translate what’s sacred to her into language her audience actually uses.

Not to dilute it, but to make it more accessible.

To meet people where they are, while staying rooted in her voice.

Because Kristine knows, true connection lives in understanding.

A Client Story That Says It All

One of Kristine’s most memorable clients came to her fresh out of university, quietly collapsing under depression, self-doubt, and emotional overload.

She was seeking validation, stuck in habits that numbed her pain, and deeply disconnected from her body.

Through their work together, she began recognizing the survival patterns underneath her struggles.

She started responding with compassion instead of judgment.

Now, she’s setting boundaries..

She’s walking every day..

She’s sharing her voice online and advocating for a cause she believes in.

“She’s finally trusting herself,” Kristine smiles. “That’s what this work is about.”
