Reclaiming Power Through the Nervous System
Kirstie’s journey began where many find themselves in survival mode.
A place of exhaustion, chaos, and relentless giving, where her body and spirit whispered that something had to change.
Once a dedicated intensive-care nurse and mental health professional.
She spent years on the frontlines, witnessing the fragility of life and the toll it takes on the human mind.
But beneath the uniform and compassion lay a woman quietly unraveling burned out, battling PTSD, and trying to make sense of her own pain.
That unraveling, as it turns out, became her awakening.
Through her own healing, Kirstie learned to regulate her nervous system to soothe the inner storm rather than silence it and in doing so, she rediscovered a truth that guides her life today: we were never broken; we simply forgot how to feel safe in our own bodies.
From Nurse to Nervous System Guide
What began as survival transformed into purpose.
Kirstie founded Shades of Flora, a donation-based, heart-led space that helps others take back control of their nervous systems and reconnect with their inner wisdom.
Her approach isn’t about “fixing” anyone, it’s about remembering.
Through conversation, creative play, and spiritual practices rooted in ancestral and indigenous wisdom, she offers 1:1 sessions that meet people exactly where they are.
Whether it’s through music, art, sound, or even gaming, she creates a safe space for people to be fully themselves.
Her professional experience as a nurse gives her a deep understanding of trauma and the body’s stress responses but it’s her lived experience that brings empathy and truth to her work.
She’s been the survivor.
She’s felt the freeze.
And now, she’s walking proof that freedom is possible when you stop fighting yourself and start listening.
Awakening the Rebel Within
At her core, Kirstie is not just a healer, she’s a rebel with a cause.
Her message is clear: healing isn’t compliance, it’s reclamation.
Through her platform, she encourages others to question systems that profit from pain and to stand up for collective healing and truth.
She speaks openly about trauma, neurodiversity, and public health, bringing evidence-based education into spaces often clouded by stigma.
And while she’s honest about her struggles: perfectionism, self-doubt, and the desire to do too much, she’s learning to trust divine timing.
To slow down.
To rest.
To create from regulation, not from rush.
Her activism and compassion blend seamlessly, reminding us that even the smallest act of reclaiming peace within ourselves can ripple out to heal the world around us.
A Life Rooted in Connection and Purpose
Kirstie dreams of creating a physical sanctuary, a healing space surrounded by nature where others can restore themselves through art, sound, and community.
She envisions a world where wealth is shared, not hoarded.
Where trauma survivors, neurodivergent thinkers, and everyday dreamers all have access to healing regardless of their income or background.
Her story is a reminder that it’s never too late to rewrite your own narrative, to listen to your body’s wisdom, and to step into a life that feels like home.
At Reignelle, we celebrate those who turn pain into purpose and choose authenticity over fear.
Because when one of us remembers our power, we help others remember theirs too.
