When the Life You Built Stops Being Enough
Some awakenings arrive gently.
Others arrive all at once.
For Erin, everything changed when her parents died unexpectedly, just seventeen days apart, from completely different medical reasons.
The shock was profound.
And in the aftermath, the life she had carefully followed no longer made sense.
The good college.
The good job.
The marriage.
The children.
On paper, it all looked right.
Inside, something was missing.
We are drawn to stories like this, where loss becomes a turning point, and autopilot gives way to intention.
Leaving Autopilot Behind
Grief cracked Erin open.
It led her into movement, challenge, and self inquiry.
Rock climbing in her forties.
Testing her body and mind in places like Yosemite.
Asking questions she had never slowed down enough to ask before.
What do I actually want.
What lights me up. Who am I becoming.
That questioning led her into personal development, and eventually to coaching.
After twenty years in outside sales, including over a decade at her most recent company, Erin made a bold decision.
She quit her job, relocated from California to the Pacific Northwest, and went all in on a path that finally felt aligned.
Growth that had been unfolding slowly for years accelerated rapidly once she committed to both being coached and becoming a coach.
One close friend reflected that Erin had changed more in one year than in the previous twenty.
That transformation became her proof. And her purpose.
Redefining High Performance
Erin’s work today supports women who appear to have it all together, yet feel disconnected from themselves.
High performers.
Women who get things done, but sense there is more to life than checking boxes.
As a Certified High Performance Coach, she guides them through a twelve week program rooted in science based habits, reflection, and intentional action.
Her coaching is not about fixing what is broken.
It is about rediscovering identity, desire, and agency.
Helping women get unstuck.
Shift mindsets.
Change behaviors.
And step into lives they are genuinely proud to live.
Her own journey taught her that high performance without alignment leads to burnout.
True success includes clarity, fulfillment, and choice.
Listening to the Body’s No
Building her business required discernment.
Early on, Erin explored niches that did not fully light her up.
Through that process, she found clarity around who she served best.
Yet one of the biggest challenges came from marketing.
After joining a program that demanded constant direct messaging and relentless posting, her body responded with resistance.
It felt misaligned.
Inauthentic.
Something she could not push through.
Walking away from that approach was a turning point.
Hiring her own High Performance coach helped her reframe what growth could look like.
From there, everything began to integrate.
Her coaching.
Her love for outdoor adventure.
Her discipline with fitness and nutrition.
Summiting Kilimanjaro at fifty-two.
Preparing for a rock climbing adventure in Greece at fifty-three.
Her life and her work finally began to mirror each other.
Choosing Action Over Isolation
One of Erin’s ongoing challenges has been community.
Building a business can be lonely, and finding consistent, supportive thought partners has not been easy.
Networking events move slowly, and meaningful connection takes time.
Still, she has reached a new chapter. One defined by action.
She is currently launching ninety minute complimentary coaching experiences for one hundred people.
No obligation.
No pressure.
Just service, presence, and trust.
For Erin, this is not about forcing outcomes.
It is about finally moving forward, gathering feedback, and staying open to what emerges.
The fear has loosened its grip.
Momentum has taken its place.
Erin’s story reminds us that fulfillment does not come from following the right path.
It comes from choosing the right one, even when it requires starting over.
Her work shows us that high performance is not about doing more.
It is about living awake, aligned, and courageous enough to go after what actually matters.
At Reignelle, we honor women like Erin who refuse to live on autopilot, who turn grief into clarity, and who remind us that it is never too late to build a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
