When Life Breaks You Open, It’s Also Rebuilding You

A Devotion to Remembering

Carla is the founder of LunAscention.

Her work is not something she simply built.

It’s something she became.

A devotion.

An invocation.

A remembering.

Because long before there was a business, there was a sensitivity.

A way of feeling what wasn’t being said.

Of listening between the lines.

Of sensing what lived beneath the surface.

Over time, that awareness deepened.

Through life.

Through loss.

Through moments that didn’t just shape her.

They remade her.

And from that, LunAscention was born.

Not as a concept.

But as a lived experience.

A space where women are invited to remember what has always been within them.

A Path Lived, Not Learned

Carla’s work isn’t rooted only in training.

It’s rooted in experience.

In embodiment.

While she is trained in yoga, hypnotherapy, and multiple healing modalities…

Her deepest teachers have been something else entirely.

Intuition.

Spirit.

Life itself.

She works in connection with what she describes as the Blue Team.

A spiritual collective she channels for guidance and insight.

A presence that supports the spaces she holds.

Offering reflections that meet each person exactly where they are.

Because this work isn’t about telling someone who they are.

It’s about helping them hear themselves more clearly.

A Mirror, Not a Fix

The spaces Carla creates are not about fixing.

They are about remembering.

Through ceremony.

Breath.

Trance.

Rhythm.

She guides women back to themselves.

Back to their truth beneath the roles they’ve been taught to play.

Back to a sense of sovereignty.

Of belonging.

Of being fully present in their bodies and their lives.

This work isn’t for everyone.

And it’s not meant to be.

It’s for the woman who feels the quiet pull.

Who isn’t looking for perfection.

But for something real.

Something honest.

Something deeper than surface-level change.

Because the transformation here isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about returning.

When Life Becomes the Initiation

Carla’s path has been shaped by profound moments.

The kind that change you completely.

Becoming a mother…

While losing her own.

Holding life in her arms…

While saying goodbye to the woman who gave her life.

Experiencing love and grief at the same time.

Not as separate things.

But as something intertwined.

Moments like these don’t just challenge you.

They initiate you.

They strip away what isn’t real.

And leave you with something deeper.

Something more honest.

And it’s from these experiences that her work has taken its current form.

Grounded.

Raw.

Deeply human.

Answering the Call

Her business didn’t begin with a plan.

It began with a message.

In a trance-like state, connecting with her ancestors, she was told:

Use your voice.

For healing.

For sharing.

For building community.

At the time, she had already spent years doing her own inner work.

Exploring spiritual practices.

Supporting others quietly.

But stepping into that role publicly…

Was never part of the plan.

And yet, the call was clear.

So she followed it.

She began sharing.

And over time, that sharing became a business.

One that continues to evolve alongside her.

Building Within the Mess of Life

Right now, Carla is in a season that is both expansive and demanding.

She’s building a retreat space.

Raising a baby.

Holding space for others—

While continuing her own healing.

And it doesn’t look neat.

Or perfectly structured.

It’s layered.

Messy.

Alive.

There are moments of growth.

And moments of pause.

Moments of clarity.

And moments of exhaustion.

But through it all, she’s learning something important:

That slower movement is still movement.

That life doesn’t need to look linear to be meaningful.

And that building something real often happens in the in-between.

A Different Way of Seeing Growth

When asked what’s holding her back, Carla sees it differently.

Because to her, nothing is working against us.

Everything is part of the path.

A reflection.

A redirection.

An invitation.

She challenges the idea that progress must always look like forward motion.

That value is tied to productivity.

That we always need to be doing.

Sometimes growth looks like pause.

Like stillness.

Like integration.

Because not all movement is visible.

And not all progress is loud.

Sometimes the most important shifts happen quietly.

Internally.

In the spaces no one else can see.

Returning to What Has Always Been There

At the heart of Carla’s work is remembrance.

Not becoming more.

Not striving harder.

But softening.

Listening.

Returning.

To the body.

To the soul.

To the truth that exists beneath everything else.

Because what you’re searching for…

Was never separate from you.

It was only waiting.

To be felt.

To be heard.

To be remembered.

At Reignelle, we’re reminded that transformation doesn’t always come through force or striving.. sometimes it asks us to slow down, soften and trust that even in the pauses, something sacred is unfolding.
